While our mission includes accessibility we are at this time trying to preserve a very small accessible piece of land for future residents and visitors to our town.

The Putney Community Garden and Farmer's Market are facing big changes. Development of the land with a 20 foot buffer zone on the garden property, will change the face of Putney and the entrance to town.
Together we hope to shed some light on our current situation intending to find another solution to the affordable housing issue. |

Who was Alice Holway?
Our first story is about Alice Holway. Woman farmer and center for young adults and children to live. She believed in women being paid equally to men.

Putney Community Garden We grow food and flowers in the Putney Community Garden as an organized group of residents each renting their own plot. We also grow food for the food shelf. We began in 2010 as part of Transition Putney, a group organized around an international movement, promoting the concept of reducing the use of non-renewable fuels.
